Joe Biden Claims Latinos Are “Incredibly Diverse,” Unlike Black Americans
(RightWing.org) – Once again, Democrat candidate for president, Joe Biden, accidentally exposed his alarming racial views in front of the entire nation.
Footage has just been found of Joe Biden making the disturbing claim that “unlike the African American community,” Latinos are “incredibly diverse.” Biden’s disturbing racial claim comes after the candidate has been slammed in recent days for his racially-charged attacks against African-American Trump supporters.
Biden Takes Swing At African-Americans
In the video footage, former VP under President Barack Obama was bumbling his way through a virtual commentary and Q&A session in front of Hispanic and Black journalists. One of the reporters taking part inquired if he’d return to Obama’s pro-Cuban policies if he were to take the Oval Office.
After telling the crowd that he would, he went on to praise Latino communities in America and managed to throw shade at African-Americans at the same time. He was heard saying “… what you all know… unlike the African-American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community…”
Later in that same video, a Black reporter with CBS News asked the candidate if he was going to take a cognitive test – as President Donald Trump did and passed. Biden replied in a seemingly aggressive manner and possibly displayed some deep-seated racism. He asked the reporter if he would’ve taken a test for cocaine in order to get admittance to the conference at the and asking him, “are you a junkie?”
The Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee went down two different paths in the aftermath of the video’s release. First, he and his campaign both tried to “clarify” and backtrack on his comments.
Their attempts to make it look like he was misunderstood because of “selective editing” seemed just a bit disingenuous after the second occurrence of the day. In another virtual speech, this time to the National Association of Latino Elected Officials, he vowed his administration would reflect the full diversity of their community and then said, “now what I mean by full diversity, unlike the African-American community… you’re from everywhere.”
He went on to note the different areas they’ve come from: Europe, South America, and Mexico. Perhaps he doesn’t realize it, but the Black slaves brought over from Africa ended up in different regions of the world on the trip, developing distinct cultural differences when they spent generations in places including Puerto Rico, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica, to name a few.
Not the First Time
If this had been just the accumulation of one very bad, horrible day, then perhaps it would be unfair to question if he has long-held biases. However, since he has made other gaffes along the same lines, one really must wonder.
Not long after he garnered enough support to presumably win his party’s spot on the November presidential ballot, he appeared on a radio show popular among the Black population by the title of “The Breakfast Club.” Asked by the host about the possibility of his listeners voting for the current president, Biden replied, “if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” Needless to say his comment didn’t sit well with Black Conservatives.
At one of the Democratic Party’s primary debates, which aired in June 2019, Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) questioned her opponent about his work with segregationists early in his career to oppose busing as a means to integrate urban school districts. Biden tried to tap dance around his positions but was very much KO’d when Harris described a little girl in California who was impacted. Her.
It’s entirely possible that the upcoming election could hinge, in large part, upon who can grasp the larger share of the Black vote. Progressive Liberals unabashedly denigrate President Trump as a racist, misogynist, nationalist, in their attempts to woo them. It seemed their ilk always underestimates their ability to think for themselves, just like they did when he beat Hillary Clinton in 2016.
