Democrats in general and the Biden administration, in particular, have never been shy about making their opinions on guns known. As it turns out the most recent generation of politicians has transcended the understanding of those who’ve lived under the tyrannical rule and they know that guns make the government more likely to have to crush the little people.
You see, politicians looking out for the best interest of the people want to treat us in much the same way a parent treats a toddler: they want to keep everything that could harm us, away from us, thus circumventing our immature and undeserving free will and telling us exactly what is good for us and what we can have and when.
Is that too much to ask? Is it too great a sacrifice for the right to bear arms, defend ourselves against predators, keep our families safe, and yes, keep the government at bay, should they get out of line, are those rights too great to give up for the security of knowing that big brother is watching over us with the only legally head firepower in the nation? That couldn’t go badly, right?
As so often happens with an elitist ideology that is clearly unrealistic in the real world, people (lead, of course, by rednecks) proved those theories wrong. As it turns out it is too much to ask, we don’t care for it, and if you come around the house of an American patriot asking them to give up their second amendment rights, you’ll have to pry those rights out of their cold dead hands (and the hands of every red-blooded neighbor who will no doubt come running at the sound of a firefight).
This was the point made by Rep. Lauren Opal Boebert, a representative of Colorado’s third district. Boepert took time from the floor of the house to actually thank the president for being the best thing that ever happened to gun sales, sparking the mantra that Biden is the best gun salesman there ever was.
The congresswoman from Colorado was referencing the record-destroying gun and ammo sales seen over the last year that caused companies like Smith & Wesson to come up with new ways to make sure their employees know that their hard work and dedication to the Second Amendment rights of Americans was worth the effort.
According to a report in The Daily Wire, the iconic gun manufacturer had their best year yet, bringing in over $1.1 billion in sales. Smith & Wesson CEO Mark Smith stated as much on an earnings call where he said that they would also be distributing over $14 million to eligible employees, which will be 15% of each employee’s annual wages.”
But that wasn’t the only iconically capitalist move being made by Smith. Not only will management be getting bonuses due in large part to Biden’s drive behind the new record gun sales, in recognition of their hard work the CEO announced that “we will also be awarding every employee who is not eligible for our management bonus program a special bonus of $1,200 for a full-time employee and $600 for temporary workers.”
According to Smith, the last quarter was the icing on top of a very financially beneficial cake:
“Our fourth-quarter revenue of nearly $323 million was the highest quarter ever on record and marks the fourth consecutive record-breaking quarter for the company, capping off a year in which the company achieved just under $1.1 billion in revenue as I mentioned just now, surpassing the $1 billion mark for the first time in our history,” he continued, adding.
But the dollar bills aren’t the only huge win here for conservatives. Smith went on to say that “Our manufacturing logistics teams produced and shipped nearly 2.5 million units last fiscal year, representing a 70% increase year on year, while during the same timeframe, the U.S. firearms market as measured by NICS grew by 42%.”
What, you might ask, does that mean for conservatives? It means better-armed neighbors, more faith in the good sense of those in your community, and a government that knows if it wants to infringe on the rights of the individual, it will have to face a very well-armed citizen militia. I would say “good luck” but what you’re really going to need is a good health insurance plan. Too bad Democrats don’t know how to put one of those together.
