Pelosi Publicly Admonishes Manchin Over Inflation Comments

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has been outcast by most of his party over the Build Back Better (BBB) bill. His refusal to bend even the slightest on the issue has been a thorn in the side of the ever-persistent progressively-minded Democrat. These special ones have become more popular in the party over the last few years, and they have pushed the idea of the party over people to new levels.

By going against this idea, Sen. Manchin has put himself right in their crosshairs. Recently he explained his views on the matter. “This is not a time to be throwing more fuel on the fire. We have an inflate — we have inflation and we have, basically, an economy that’s on fire. You don’t throw more fuel on the fire that is already on fire causing the problems that we have. So we’ve got to get our house in order.”

Sen. Manchin is completely correct and justified in his views. We don’t need more fuel on the fire, and that’s exactly what the BBB would do for us- pouring fuel on the fire. As a Country, we need to get things back in order and get people in there who want to fix the problems we have. He’s pointing out how the BBB is doing nothing but fanning the flames of inflation and creating more problems for the country is historic and a sign that not everybody will go along with this horrible idea.

ABC’s program “This Week” aired on Sunday where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) took the opportunity to admonish Sen. Manchin for his views. While speaking with George Stephanopoulos they discussed how inflation is impacting Americans. Currently, the average American family is spending an extra $275 a month due to inflation. Something Pelosi thinks is not only acceptable but defends as a good thing.

When asked about the comments from Sen. Manchin Pelosi was incredibly crass in her venom laced response. “Well, the fact is, is that — clearly, he has — you know, look, Joe Manchin, as you said, is the senator who counts, every senator counts. And we have legislation that is so transformative for our country…So, yes, we have inflation. It’s very important for us to address it. We must bring it down. And — but is not — it’s not right — with all the respect in the world for my friend, Joe Manchin — it’s not right to say what we’re doing is contributing to the inflation because it is exactly the opposite.”

Unfortunately for the House Speaker, it’s right for him to say these things. He is speaking the truth. When you are working to fix a problem, you can either acknowledge its existence, or you can ignore it and hope it goes away. In this case, he is addressing the problem head-on and making certain that it is being handled in a way that best serves the public. He wants to see change and growth in the country. Something people like Nany Pelosi don’t want.

For decades now the progressive left has been conducting politics as usual- even in the face of tremendous problems. This is something that has not gone unnoticed, and it’s something that the American people are sick of. They need to be able to see their leadership doing something about the mounting problems that are in the best interests of the American people and not what is best for their party. People like Sen. Manchin see this and are trying to do what is best for the American people is to have people in office who place their interests over their party. Imagine if more politicians learned that the best way to stay in power is to do best for their people.
