Email Proves Biden Skipped Vetting To Fill Planes; 80k Still Remain Stranded

The exit from Afghanistan was horrific. The number of operational failures and blunders is still nothing short of astounding. Had this been planned by a lower enlisted servicemember they would have been tried and imprisoned already. Yet since Biden and his buddies set the tone for this withdrawal, nothing has or will happen to them.

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) has come forward with an insider email he was presented that shows just how horribly this was executed. This came after the press got wind of how empty these planes were being sent out very empty. As in a German Military A700M left with 7 people on board, despite room for 100 passengers or more. The email originated from Gregory Floyd and was written on August 18th. Floyd was serving as the Consul General at the U.S. Consulate in Kabul at the time.

“…President Biden phoned Ambassador Wilson with the following directive about who to clear to board evacuation flights. 1. Anyone with a valid form of ID should be permitted to go on a plane if that person plausibly falls into the categories we will evacuate: U.S. Citizens and LPRs plus their immediate families, LES plus their immediate families, those entitled to an SIV, and Afghans at risk. 2. Families with women and children should be allowed through and held to fill out the planes. 3. Total inflow to the U.S. must exceed the number of seats available. Err on the side of excess. This guidance provides clear discretion and direction to fill seats and to provide special consideration for women and children when we have seats. I expect that C-17 volume will increase.” This email signals just how badly they blew this operation.

The decision to abandon 80,000 SIV (Special Immigrant Visa) holders is insulting to the Afghani people. These brave people and their families were putting their lives on the line to help Americans. Serving as interpreters, intelligence agents, and in other roles, these people were willing to sacrifice everything to get their country back. The promise of a path to a better life with American citizenship was made to these people, and we did not deliver on this promise. Now many of these people have been identified by the Taliban and other terrorist outfits, and as a result, have been reported as being killed as a result.

When we gave up the Bagram Air Force base position, we essentially gave up on getting people out. Had they had both Bagram and the Kabul airport operational we could have gotten many more out. Putting out information publicly that we were getting people out and we were leaving was also horrific. These people should have been moved as soon as Biden started making his plans with the timetable for withdrawal was approaching.

Instead, we left people to die. Not only the 80,000 SIV but also hundreds of Americans and their families. This is not how America is supposed to conduct business. We are supposed to be the beacon of truth, freedom, and justice for the world. Biden ignored that calling and his people made plans without consulting the real experts; the people with boots on the ground.

In this day and age, the best intel you get is from the people living it. Not the ‘experts’ locked away safely in their compounds or DC offices. Any service member who spent time in Afghanistan OR Iraq could have told you how this would turn out. They knew their capabilities and tried to warn leadership when things were going wrong. These leaders ignored these reports as their officers ‘knew more’. Unfortunately, reports omit details (intentionally or otherwise). The best way to get the truth is to go to the source. When will the leadership of this country learn to listen to their people, and trust that those who have seen what is happening will know best?
