Black Friday Causes Boom in Gun Sales

The most American thing you can do is to arm yourself in honor of the second amendment and to spend copious amounts of cash on Black Friday to keep the economy going. When combined you not only increase your personal safety, but also keep small businesses afloat in perilous times, and ensure you are doing your part in being prepared for the fight against the ever-growing evils of the world.

With a simply astounding 186,645 background checks done on Black Friday alone, we as a Nation put in for 687,788 National Instant Criminal Background System (NCIS) checks during the entire week. America needs to stand up and give herself a hand for this. It serves as proof that the people of this great Nation have noticed the problems plaguing this land and are done with it. They want to be the instruments of change we need to be successful, and with these numbers reported by The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) we are on our way.

NSSF President Joe Bartozzi offered some commentary upon this joyous news. “This figure of over 687,000 background checks is truly remarkable. This year has already been shaping up to be the second strongest year for firearm sales on record, second only to 2020’s record-breaking number of 21 million background checks for a firearm sale. We anticipate, based on annual data, that firearm sales will rise during the final month of the year coinciding with hunting seasons and holiday sales. This figure, though, underscores the appetite for lawful firearm ownership in America and the resilience of the firearm and ammunition industry to meet that demand.”

However, there is a dark side to this news. For much of the nation ammunition is becoming increasingly difficult to find, and what you can find is priced incredibly high compared to what it was a few years ago. This is in part due to ammo hoarders (nothing against a good stockpile though), a lack of production due to regulations, and overwhelming consumption. In turn, this can potentially lead to more untrained people walking around with firearms thinking ‘how hard could this be?’

As a nation, it is your patriotic duty to help your neighbors in choosing a firearm and helping them become proficient with it if you are already skilled in this area. If not, you should be asking those who are for help. Statistically, the people most likely to be victims of gun violence reside in the areas with the most stringent gun laws. Accordingly, those with the least restrictive laws see the least problems. Yes, you will always have incidents in higher population areas with lower-income areas, but those are also most frequently afflicted with stringent local gun laws.

With more and more problems surfacing by the day, we as a nation need to be prepared and ready to defend ourselves. As people spend more time out of work, they become more desperate for a solution and a way to get back on track with their lives. For many, this means robbery, home invasion, or assault. These crimes are most often committed with an illegally procured firearm. How does a law-abiding citizen stop that? By legally arming themselves and staying well prepared.

As the Biden-led left cries for more and more gun laws they fail to see or even comprehend the simple truth. The only people who obey gun laws are law-abiding citizens. Those who don’t obey the law won’t just turn in their guns when new laws are created. They won’t do ‘the right thing’ (a subjective idea if one ever existed), and those who seek to commit crimes won’t bat an eye at gun laws. Gun-free areas have encouraged mass shootings as people who obey the law leave their guns in a secured location, thus making it a target-rich environment. As Sun Tzu probably said, ‘Stay strapped or get clapped’.
